Graduate Study Lounge

General Information

WongAvery Library houses a 24-hour Graduate Study Lounge for UC San Diego graduate and professional students in all disciplines. The large room of the space is intended for individual study by grad students in all disciplines, while the smaller room can be used by small to moderately-sized groups for collaborative work. It offers tables and comfortable seating, a restroom, and computers. A printer is located in the breezeway outside the room.

Access

  • A new process for requesting Study Lounge access is in place for Fall 2021 and beyond. Access cards used for the space prior to the pandemic will no longer work.
  • Complete this form to request access and email it to lib-grad-lounge@ucsd.edu, along with 1) a scan or photo copy of the front and back of your UCSD ID card (JPEG or PNG format only) and 2) a screen shot showing your current status in the Graduate Division from TritonLink as proof of enrollment and eligibility.
    • Allow up to 5 business days to receive authorization.
    • Approved access will be enabled via your UCSD ID card.
  • Scan your activated ID card on the outside readers to open the automatic glass doors into the building’s breezeway, then again on the reader at the north door of the Graduate Study Lounge.
  • Access expires 18 months from date of issue or after 120 days of non-use. Email lib-grad-lounge@ucsd.edu to request reactivation.
